This quilt is from a pattern in the American Patchwork & Quilting magazine April 2019.  I didn't use fat quarters, but 1.5 inch short strips from my strip bins.

Terry and I took this class from Gundrun Erla at the Big Sky Quilt Retreat in March. This is a pretty easy quilt compared to the others I have been doing.

Checkerboard Rail Fence

A Bonnie Hunter free pattern that was a leader/ender a couple years ago. I love my poppies!

Allietaire pattern by Bonnie Hunter

I worked on this the same time I worked on the 2018-2019 mystery.  Marge had the 240 gray and neutral half square triangles. The border took a long long time.

The Sun

My tulips are no longer blooming, but here are some pics of what some of them looked like this year.  I think I  need to make a quilt with tulips one of these days.

Ripping Out

This is a Laura Heine kit that was teaching how to get the hand stitched look by machine.  It was a kit given to Maggi by a lady.  I do not like the results.  Maybe if I had done it, I would feel differently.  I am in the process of taking the machine stitching out.  It is going to take a while and I wonder if the holes the needle has made will be less noticeable. I have used wildflower caron thread on my previous color crayon quilts, and I think I would like to try it on this piece in a variegated thread.  Fiberworks is now closed on Saturday and Sunday, so I can't find it there today anyway.  I am not ready to stitch anyway.  I want to color the flowers first.  I am going to Bernina and 4 Winds to take advantage of their 20% off Memorial Day sales.  I am looking for a couple  fabrics to make my sewing club Christmas present.  I found some I like at Hancock's of Paducah, but the postage makes the sale fabric not so cheap, so I'll see what I can find locally.

Sweet Pea's 6 inch Sewing Tote along with Quilter's Illustrated Sewing Tote and Tool Tote.  I am hoping having bags will help me keep more organized.  The sewing tote holds my featherweight. I like that the sewing tote and tool tote have the metal stays that keep the bag open.
New wallhanging for the bathroom.  I tried the shadow quilt concept.  I have only seen it done with more solid fabrics like the illusion quilt on Missouri Star, but I think it works especially from a distance.
Finished and bound before the month is done.  Wahoo.  Love this annual mystery by Bonnie Hunter.

Finished and bound. Wahoo!

I finished the top of the Good Fortune mystery by Bonnie Hunter on January 13, nine days after she posted the reveal. I do like this year's mystery.  It will take me a while to piece the back and use up  more of my stash.

I finished this mug rug from Pickle Pie trying to practice the center motif to try to make the cookies for Santa placemat on the front of the Designs in Machine Embroidery Nov. Dec. 2018.

I also finished the Sweet Pea Let it Snow.  I made the table runner into a bench pillow.

Easy Street by Bonnie Hunter.  Mystery quilt 2015?
